Skill Level: Beginner but previous hand-sewing is a plus!
Supplies listed are for one size large (approx. 6 ½ inches) OR size medium (approx. 5 inches)
bowl.
- The Prosperity Bowl pattern by Jean Paccagnan of So Treasured
- Fabric: Two coordinating fat quarters or ¼ yard cuts of good quality quilting cotton
- Pellon Peltex 70 Stabilizer; (“Sew in” not fusible!) ¼ yard is plenty
- Template material: One sheet of 8 ½” x 11” clear or translucent plastic
- Marking Pens:
- One for marking on fabric, air-erasable or white chalk such as a Chaco-Liner Pen
- One for marking on stabilizer such as “Sharpie” ultra fine point
- Fabric Glue Stick: I prefer SewLine Water Soluble Glue Pen but others are fine
- Thread: 40 or 50 weight polyester, cotton covered polyester, or 100% cotton in a matching and / or neutral color
- Scissors for cutting fabric
- Scissors (everyday use) okay for cutting template plastic
- Wonder Clips for Quilters (at least 6 or more)
- Hand Sewing Needles (I like an assortment of Milliners needles which are longer, but thin enough to be flexible and also easy to thread)
Optional: Needle threader, straight edge clear ruler, Kimberbell paper tape
