Jellyroll Rug
This project is the ultimate "productive meditation" there is something incredibly satisfying about watching a pile of colorful strips coil into a unique work of art right under your needle. Upcycle with flair- you don't have to use a jellyroll you can cut your stash into 2.5" stripes. Learn the secret to using 100% cotton batting (tucked inside those fbri strips ) to create a rug that is soft underfoot but tough enough for high traffic areas. Master the zig-zag. You will learn the technical side (tension control, the fold, explore tools that make the job easier, and the perfectzig-zag stitch to ensure your rug stays flat and fabulous, not wavy or wonky. Color Play- whether you want a coastal ombre, a moody modern palette, or a scrappy-chic rainbow, your fabric choice makes it 100% unique.
This class includes time for a 1 hour lunch on your own outside of the quilt shop.

- Extension table if you have one
